“We reached Ropers Campground in the night and was received by Wade and Bethany. The place was exactly as described in the posting. We enjoyed staying in the cabin and it was located in between the mountains which was really great. We wish we could've stayed longer in their place. ”
Loved the property! Only wish we had set aside more time to spend on their land. Wade and Bethany were amazing hosts!
We loved our stay! Wade and Beth were so helpful and kind. Their property is absolutely stunning. The cabin was super cozy and comfortable. We plan on coming back and bringing the kids. There was so much to do on and around their property. We would highly recommend this property to everyone.
My wife and I arrived to meet Wade's father. He showed us around the land and welcomed us warmly. All of the Ropers were very attentive and gracious hosts, they provide wonderful amenities and have a BEAUTIFUL place to get away to! The property is amazing, the creek is pure and beautiful. The cabins are new, cozy and comfy for a couple OR a family. If you want to get away for some peace and tranquility, this is the place to go!
We had an amazing experience, the place is gorgeous same as you see on the pictures, everyone at the Ropers is super friendly including the animals, this people went out of their way to help us. Wade even took his time to show us around and set a campfire for us, we want to come back in April if is possible. This place is perfectly set for the camping experience you are looking for. One more thing we already miss them.
Wade really made us feel welcome at Roper's Campground, and he couldn't have been a better host. The cabin we stayed in had a great porch where we ate most of our meals and spent some time relaxing and taking in the view of the bluff over the creek. The cabin felt homey and comfortable on the inside, and we loved how they maximized the space with the loft above the bathroom. When we asked for suggestions of what to do during our visit, Wade and Bethany gave us some great ideas for how to spend our time. The cabins are about 20 minutes away from the quaint little town of Mountain View, the Folk Music Capital of the World. We came to town one evening, got some ice cream and enjoyed the little groups of musicians gathered throughout the park. We also made the 20 minute trip to Blanchard Springs Caverns. We took the Dripstone tour through the caverns which cost just over $10 per person and we were more than happy we did. This tour allowed us to see some great formations while only taking 45 minutes to an hour. All in all, the thing that we loved most about staying at Roper's Campground was Wade's passion about this property and the big plans for the property that he and Bethany have.
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the rock cabin. Wade and Bethany were so welcoming and helpful, and the surrounding land is breathtaking. We so enjoyed the views of the hills, walking by the creek, the sound of the waterfall outside our window, the history of the place, and so much more. The cabin is so wonderful and the setup on the screened in porch is amazing. We really can't say enough about what a truly great time we had and we can't wait to return for a longer visit.”
“Such a great cabin! Even better then the pictures. Huge screened in porch with a picnic table, hot tub and kitchen. The inside is comfortable as well and has a unique bathroom with all the comforts of home. To top it all off you have your very own spring fed waterfall out the back door of the cabin. Sleeping to the sound of nature and falling water was so peaceful. I have to say that in all my stays I've never had such amazing hosts. Bethany and Wade are so accommodating and kind. They are working hard and doing a great job with the campground and starting a farm as well. We got to meet the dogs and see some calves and chicken. We can't wait to come back year after year and see the camp and farm grow!”

Wade and Bethany were great hosts! We loved staying in the rock cabin in the midst of the fall leaves and cool autumn air. The cabin was even better than in the photos! The hot tub sits on the large screened in front porch and the king sized bed in the cabin was extremely comfortable. They provide a fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and hot plate for cooking. We enjoyed building a small fire pit and grilling outside as well. Ropers campground is secluded enough from the main road but has easy access to trails and the town of Mountain View is about 15-20 mins away. We will definitely be back again! Thanks Wade and Bethany!
The place is rustic but you don't need anything fancy with such beautiful surroundings! The couple was so sweet and told us all about the history of the land and their dreams for it. We took tons of awesome photos and talked to all the animals! All I have to say is baby cows are the cutest! We will be back for sure!
Wade and Bethany were great - showed us the ropes right when we got there. The cabin is situated on an awesome piece of property and simple but doesn't feel lacking at all. Perfect for an escape. I only wish the weather had been a little more cooperative so we could've explored the property a little more.
My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at this cabin! It was perfect, and we loved using the wood burning stove! We are hoping to come back this summer!
We had a awesome get away at the Roper's campground. Loved the cabin it was very clean & had everything needed. Loved the porch, you could hear only the waterfall it was very peaceful. Wade & Bethany were very friendly & helpful. I only wish I would have had more time to spend there, plan on returning as soon as we get the time. Highly recommend this destination.
We had a wonderful stay at Roper's campground. Bethany was so friendly and helpful. My kids loved exploring the land, playing by the creek, and of course the hot tub! I would love to come back this summer. I highly recommend this campground!
We were absolutely taken away with Ropers Campground!! It was amazing! Wade and Bethany were precious! Definaltely the best choice we could have made. Can't truly find the words to explain how everything came together and how Wade and Bethany made us feel so welcome! Thank you guys from the bottom of our hearts! Hope to see you again soon!
The pictures don't do justice. The space is much larger, the screened porch is WONDERFUL, the shower is like rainfall, the grounds are so nice to explore, and it is such a quiet retreat. It was a great 22nd anniversary weekend.
We had an AMAZING stay! They made sure we felt at home and were always there if we had any questions are concerns. It was so peaceful and relaxing and so much to do and see! Such a great cabin!
Amazing. It was quiet, away from it all. Hot tub was amazing.
What a lovely little cabin on a beautiful campground! The hot tub and the friendly cows were awesome.
Bethany was a great host and greeted us the first night. There are few words for this cabin- awesome, rustic. quiet... It was just like it was described- there is quite a story to this place. Thank you for sharing!
We really enjoyed our stay here! Perfect place for a weekend get away!
The Rock Cabin was just as described. Bethany provided all the information we needed and was always available by phone. The cabin is amazing. The natural spring behind it makes for a very peaceful and relaxing setting. The campground is secluded with access to a creek and trails for hiking. We cooked our meals over the open fire and enjoyed sitting around the fire. We were very pleased and hope to return.
